Visiting the Sun

This story is written by Shan e Maryam, a student of class 4.

Once upon a time, on a bright sunny day, Ali and his sister Maria were playing in the backyard. While looking up at the blue sky, five-year-old Ali said to his older sister, ÔÇ£When I grow up, I am going to be an astronaut.ÔÇØ

ÔÇ£ThatÔÇÖs greatÔÇØ, said Maria. ÔÇ£But why do you want to be an astronaut?ÔÇØ she asked her brother.

Ali replied, “I want to be an astronaut to be the first person to fly a rocket and land on the sun.ÔÇØ

ÔÇ£Oh, dear brother!! You cannot land on the sun. That will never happen because the sun is too much hot.

ÔÇ£I know itÔÇÖs hotÔÇØ, said Ali. ÔÇ£ThatÔÇÖs why I am going to land on the sun at night when the sun is not so hotÔÇØ, Ali replied.

ÔÇ£Ooh, my silly brother!! The sun will never be cold; itÔÇÖs like a hot ball that always remains hot.ÔÇØ

ÔÇ£What if I wear a special suit that is heatproof? I really want to visit the sun,ÔÇØ insisted Ali.

Maria replied, ÔÇ£Ok, go ahead, you can only visit the sun in your dreams. Now go and sleep. It’s already too late.ÔÇØ

ÔÇ£Come on, Ali and Maria. It is getting quite late. Go to bed,ÔÇØ said their mother.

Ali said, ÔÇ£Oo, dear sister, I wish to visit the sun. I will think about how to do it.ÔÇØ

ÔÇ£Ok, come on, Ali. We will discuss it later. Good night and sweet dreams,ÔÇØ Maria replied.
