The final exams were over. Kisva and Umer, two siblings, were excited about the summer vacations. They both planned what they would do during the holidays; playing outdoor games, planting new plants, reading and writing stories, going for picnics, and much more. Then, one day, both came into the house after cycling outside and felt extremely thirsty.
ÔÇ£LetÔÇÖs make lemonadeÔÇØ, said Kisva to Umer. Together, they made lemonade and enjoyed it. As Kisva placed the empty glass on the kitchen shelf, the glass slipped from her hands and broke into pieces. They both feared that mama would be mad at them if she found out about the broken glass. So they decided to collect the glass pieces and throw them outside without informing their mother.
The following day, as they went outside to play, they heard the voice of a cat. Following the voice, what Kisva and Umer saw made them sad and shocked. A little kitten was injured from the glass pieces they had thrown out yesterday. Immediately, Umer and Kisva took the kitten to the house and called mama for help. She quickly cleaned the kittenÔÇÖs blood and asked Baba to take it to the vet. The vet examined the kitten and bandaged its wound. Luckily, the injury was not very deep, and the vet said it would recover soon.
When they returned home, mama sat with the kids and said they should have told her when the glass was broken. She also shared a Hadees of the Holy Prophet Muhammad S.A.W.W in which He S.A.W.W said, ÔÇ£While a man was going on a way, he saw a thorny branch and removed it from the way. Allah became pleased by his action and forgave him.ÔÇØ Mama told the kids that we get rewarded for removing harmful things, and throwing out dangerous stuff is a bad deed. Moreover, she taught them that whenever something is broken, we should wrap it in a newspaper or foam before throwing it away because it could harm the garbage collector or animals.
Moral
We should never hide anything from our parents. Also, we should be considerate about others and make sure that no one gets hurt by our actions, directly or indirectly.
