This is MbappeÔÇÖs only chance to redeem himself. The FIFA World Cup 2022 is in its last minute. Mbappe has the ball and is speeding towards the opponent’s net. Before I tell you what happens next, let me introduce Mbappe to you. 24-year-old Mbappe has had a tough life starting in Cameroon. Mbappe loved football, and he practised all day long. He, alongside his family, had to travel to France to pursue his football career. A few years passed, and a football contractor was scouting for future stars. When the contractor laid his eyes on Mbappe, he knew that Mbappe could become a future legend. The legend’s first team was AS Monaco, but after a few years, he was bought by PSG, and that’s where his career started to excel. Further, he went to play the 2018 Russia World Cup. When the semi finals approached, he beat Argentina, and France was headed towards the final against Croatia.
0-0 the 2018 World Cup final had started; moments later, not only did Mbappe make history by scoring a goal at the age of 19 in a world cup final, which was only done by a legend named Pele, but also did France win the World Cup. Fast forward 4 years, France had qualified once again for the 2022 Qatar World Cup final. The match had started on an early lead by 1 goal from MessiÔÇÖs cross into the box and Angel Di Maria scoring from Argentina’s side. As halftime approached, the score was 3-0, and Argentina was winning. When team France went into the dressing room for halftime, Mbappe gave everyone a heartwarming speech.
Minutes after halftime ended, Mbappe scored a penalty. Then, 97 seconds later, Mbappe scored a FULL VOLLEY! After that, another penalty was scored by Mbappe, and that was full time. To decide the winner of the match, they went into penalties. Messi scored ArgentinaÔÇÖs first penalty. Then France scored as well. It was 4-4, and it was all up to Mbappe to score the penalty. So, he took the run up and missed, making Argentina win. When the rewards ceremony was held, Mbappe was called, and it was announced that he had won the Golden Boot – the award for the best performance in the world cup.
