We all have adventures in our lives, and we like them as well. An adventure is usually the experience of something exciting, but sometimes it results in negativity. My friends and I also had a similar experience when we decided to go on a trip to the Margalla hills.
First, we had to get permission from our parents. Surprisingly, they gave us permission but advised us to take some precautionary measures. However, we didnÔÇÖt bother and excitedly started preparing for our trip. It was a Saturday morning; we went to the market to shop and bought food products like ready-to-make noodles, juice packs, chocolates, and some bakery items. The next day was Sunday, and we were ready for the trip. We left early in the morning and reached there at 12 noon. We all were very excited because it was our first adventurous trip together. After covering some distance, we found a nice place to have our lunch, after which we started walking to reach the hiking spot. The weather there was quite enjoyable. In the pin drop silence, all we could hear were birds chirping. It was perfect.
We decided on a trail and started hiking when, suddenly, my friend got bitten by a snake. But as we didnÔÇÖt have any medicine or first aid to help her, we asked a passer-by, who looked like a native, to help us. He tore some plants, ground them with the help of a stone, and put the material on my friendÔÇÖs leg. We thanked him, and he asked us to be careful next time. Then, after a while, when she became alright, we continued walking to reach our destination. We were talking and laughing with each other when another of us, Sarah, pointed out something walking towards us ÔÇô ÔÇ£An Ibex!ÔÇØ, she screamed. At that point, we became terrified and hid behind a boulder.
Although we managed to cross that area, unluckily, we saw a group of hyper monkeys in the trees, which started throwing seeds on us. We all started screaming as the monkeys attacked us and took away our food, but no one was there to help us. Thus, tired and fed up with the happenings, to help ourselves, we started looking for a place to take some rest. We found a good hiding spot in a cave, and went inside. After some time, we felt better, but all we wanted was to go back home. There were no mobile signals to contact our family; time passed, and soon it got dark and started raining. We didnÔÇÖt have a single thing to protect ourselves from the rain, so we spent the night in the cave. It stopped raining early in the morning. However, we were pretty scared by then, for we had already seen enough danger. Carefully, we started moving back towards the city, wishing for the end of this adventure. Contrarily, nature had other plans, and a group of dogs started chasing me. I threw some pebbles at the wild animals and shooed them away. And we continued walking for what felt like an eternity. By a stroke of luck, Sameen, the sharp-eyed of us, noticed a small village at a distance. It was a sigh of relief for us. We ran towards it and asked the residents for help, so we could return to the city. They looked at us surprisingly as we were all drenched in mud, and one of us had a poorly wrapped cloth on her leg. So they took us to one of their homes, gave us food and first-aid, and then showed us the way back home.
Finally, we reached the city, our home. Really, it was an unforgettable day and night ÔÇô all of us stranded on the hills without any precautionary measures or safety equipment. Everyone thought we would enjoy the trip, but we all came home horrified and wounded. We thanked Allah for protecting us and promised our parents that we would never go to such places without proper equipment and safety items.
Moral
We should always listen to our parents because they think in our best interest.
