A Responsible Boy

This story is written by Maryam Khan Zakria, a student of class 7.

Once upon a time, there was a boy named Ali. He lived in a small town with his big family. His family had many people: six brothers, one sister, and lovely parents. His parents were very loving, kind, supportive, and hard-working. Ali was their second son, very naughty but also very caring. He never wished harm upon anyone and always obeyed his parents. Moreover, he was knowledgeable, and the secret of his ability was that he followed in his parent’s footsteps. So, his parents always prayed for him.

He used to play cricket in his free time and was an outstanding player in the cricket match, winning several awards. Academically, he got his early education from a government school and then studied at a technical college, graduating as an engineer.

Once his basic education was clear, his parents wanted him to get married, so they married him to a charming, intelligent lady, Zara. She was also a very well-mannered and respectable girl and held her in-laws in high regard. The family was living a really happy life, but after some time, Ali had to move to Dubai due to work for some time. Of course, his family missed him, and he missed them as well, but none of them ever showed each other this.

A few years later, when Ali, with his 4 children, was living in Dubai, he discovered his mother was very ill. She was very religious and always prayed for the betterment of her grandchildren. Unfortunately, she passed away after some time. Ali hurried home shortly before his mother’s funeral. Sad and upset, he became very weak. But he mustered up his courage to care for his brothers and sister. Although people cheated him a lot, he never wished harm upon anyone. And thanks to his positive nature, Allah blessed him with the best in life. He found a decent job in his country and moved back home.

Even today, he lives happily with his family, ensuring that his children never miss out on anything, not even their father’s company.
