The Lost Princess

This story is written by Ayesha Nabeel, a student of class 5.

Once upon a time, there was a girl named Kayda who lived in England with her mom and step dad. Kayda’s biological dad, the janitor at her school, had died to protect her during a terrorist attack in her school. After him, her mother used to abuse her mentally and physically. So, one day, she decided to marry someone to get away from her toxic family. A part of her wanted to stay as her step dad treated her way better than her mother. But when she had a new sister, even her dad gave his attention to her little sister Maya, and Kayda had nobody who loved and cared for her.

Thus, one day, she decided to runaway from the house. She packed some food, a tent, 2 water bottles, and 20 pounds, and ran away towards the forest, On her way, she encountered a kidnapper who tried kidnapping her, but out of no where, there was a sudden flash of lightening, and the next thing she knew she had gotten teleported to the royal castle. She got so scared that she screamed, waking up all the royals. Everybody rushed outside to check what had happened, and when they came outside, they saw Kayda, all drenched in sweat and shivering with fear. They asked her what had happened. She said, “I was about to get kidnapped, but then, in the blink of an eye, I got teleported here.” This had them all shook because the king and the queen, at the very moment, realized that she was their long lost daughter. It turned out, that when they had lost the kid 15 years ago, they had sent out a fairy to look for her. Unfortunately, the fairy couldn’t find her then, but a poor man in the village, whom Kayda had considered her biological father, had found her and brought her up. That day, when Kayda was being followed by the kidnapper, the fairy also saw her, and hence, she waved her magic wand and brought the girl to the castle.

Kayda, however, knew none of this. As she was confused, the queen, her real mother, gave her a hug and explained everything to her, after which everybody had tears in their eyes. But in the end, the family was complete, and they lived happily ever after.
