Lying Would Only Earn You Mistrust

Once upon a time, there lived a doctor Parker who was very energetic, but his son John was very lazy, so the father was always worried about him. He tried every possible way to make his son active, but he always failed. One day, he decided to send his son to the market so that he would do some work and earn some money for himself. Otherwise, he would not get anything from the house, not even food. John started crying as he was lazy and didn’t like to do any work. He raced towards his mother and requested her to give him some money. After getting the money, John showed it to his father, who was happy that his son was finally making progress.

The next day, John again went outside, but this time, he borrowed hundred rupees from his uncle, and when we came back home in the evening, he showed it to his father and lied that it was his earnings. His father took the money and threw it away, saying it was his. John was not angry and did the same thing the next day, spending his time eating and sleeping. When, in the evening, he gave the money to his father, his father again threw it and reprimanded him for not giving up his bad habits. John became disappointed, for he had no new scheme in mind.

So, the next day, John went to the market and started looking for work. The market manager asked him to clean the place and collect the garbage, to which John agreed, and after cleaning it, he got two hundred rupees. Although his body ached, he went home gladly and showed his father his hard-earned money. But to his dismay, his father threw away the money again. John was startled. With tears, he explained to his father how he had earned the money. Parker replied with a smile that he believed John, for he had seen the pain in his son\’s eyes. John understood that his father was trying to teach him a lesson. He realized lying would only make him untrusted, and no one would ever believe him if he continuously told lies.
