As You Sow, So Shall You Reap

Sara, a lively and intelligent little girl of 10, used to live in a beautiful house with her parents. Her parents tried their best to inculcate moral values in her by practising them in front of her. Despite being smart, she had a bad habit slowly destroying her personality – laziness. As a result, she was really unhygienic.

One day at the park, Sara met Huria, a handicapped girl. On seeing her, Sara started to laugh. On this, her parents, who thought that their child had morals, felt embarrassed. They bashed Sara on her attitude towards Huria. They told her that she would annoy Allah for behaving in such a way with His creation. But she didn’t bother. She continued playing on the swings and having fun when all of a sudden her mother saw a louse on Sara’s shoulder. Upon close examination, her mother noticed that Sara’s hair was full of lice. Sara started itching badly, and all the kids in the park started making fun of her. Mockingly, one of the kids called her “a dirty girl”. They refused to play with her as they were afraid of getting lice and went home. Now Sara was left all alone, embarrassed and disheartened.

At that moment, Huria, observing all this, came to Sara and supported her. This gesture of Huria melted Sara’s heart, and she realized her error. Sara apologized to Allah for making fun of His creation and also said sorry to Huria. Later at home, Sara’s father sat her down and told her that Allah has created every human equally and perfectly. If Huria had an undeveloped arm, Sara should also remember that she was lazy and unhygienic. Allah has created a balance between his creation so that no one would make fun of the other.

The next day, Sara met Huria at the park again. As Huria had forgiven Sara, both girls became good friends.

Moral

Never make fun of anybody on their appearance as everybody is made equal by Allah Almighty.
