An Adventure With Friends

Kim, Paula and Naomi embarked upon an adventure to explore the forest that was situated towards the upper east side of the town. It was not their first hiking trip as they liked adventures and loved to explore natural landscapes. They had been putting together this plan for weeks now and were extremely excited to finally mark the inception of this adventurous journey. They had backpacks with them containing all the necessary supplies for this trip. Kim took care of the navigation; she had the map of the forest as well as a compass with her. She also brought three torches with fresh batteries and a first-aid kit. Paula was responsible for the food. She packed some energy bars, dry fruits and nuts, tortillas for making some yummy wraps as they stop for camping, some canned sausages, and refillable water bottles. She also kept a knife, one of the most essential gears for such trips. A camping knife can aid in food preparation to cut vegetables, fruits, meat, and other items. It also helps to set up the tent, cut ropes, and do various other things. Naomi was responsible for the camping gear. She packed her favourite portable camp, which could easily accommodate five persons. She also brought equipment to light a fire for cooking, as well as heat and light.

The girls were fully prepared for their trip. They started their day with a healthy breakfast and left home to meet each other at a pre-decided spot. They remembered to wear their comfortable hiking boots as last time was a disaster when Paula wore her shiny slippers and got bug bites all over her feet. Kim captured the pathway with her camera as they started walking towards the forest. She was the group’s photographer and loved capturing nature’s picturesque sceneries. They talked and laughed, and it was not long before they reached the forest entrance. It was calm and serene. They could hear the birds chirping and water splashing in fresh blue springs. It was therapeutic.

They observed the glorious forest as they walked by and took pictures of the greeny-goodness. They walked for a couple of hours and then found a beautiful spot on the bank of a magnificent lake. They set out their mat and sat down on it to appreciate the splendour of nature. The air was chilly. It was a good thing that they remembered to wear their jumpers. After relaxing for a good thirty minutes, they got up to walk deeper into the forest. They wanted to find the spot that everyone in the town talked about, the spot covered with a million dried leaves that felt bouncy as one walked over them. They were sure they would love staying there for a couple of hours.

The best part about their trip was that they always helped each other. Their journeys were always successful because they worked in cooperation by segregating their duties. They knew that it is always a good idea to share responsibility and respect each team member’s opinions and contributions.

What do you think about the story? Do you think cooperation can help us work more effectively? Do you think we can have more fun if we respect our friends\’ opinions and let everyone share responsibility? You can write about it in your journal and share it with us!
